You can add memories for many different people (maybe you could record memories of your ancestors!), but for now, just start by recording a memory of yourself.
There are many ways to record your story! You can write something, make an audio recording using your smartphone, or upload a video.
Here are some additional instructions about how to record your memory.
Family stories have been known not just to entertain each other but to change lives. By becoming familiar with some of the problems our ancestors overcame and passing them on to our children, they have the power to give them strength and courage when they have trying times. Think about the stories you have read when writing your story.
What captivated you about the story?
Try to identify and build upon a lesson that was learned by the experiences explained in the story.
Find a picture that represents what was learned. This is helpful for retaining that memory.
See if you can show how the family progressed from problems to solutions.
Pick a catchy title.
Finally, work to tell your story in about one minute or about 150 words. Shorter stories are more direct and easier to read. Use these tips and your story will be a hit for generations to come!
